Barred Owl, 1 June 2021
1 June 2021: This morning I went to Old Brunswick Town to check out the Green Herons (didn't see any), Osprey and other birds.
I walked along the edge of the woods next to the road and saw a Barred Owl resting in the trees. I spent some time watching him. He started to look towards the ground, so I knew he was searching for something for lunch. He flew off and landed on a tree right next to the road. What luck, as I had a clear view of him. He stayed in one spot for quite a while looking around and preening. Eventually he flew off.
